Your Guide: Maria
Please let me introduce myself. My name is Maria. I am a professional licensed guide living in St. Petersburg. My ancestors lived in St. Petersburg since its founding, so the knowledge of the city is in my blood. I have graduated from St. Petersburg University with English as my major. I was an exchange student to the US where I studied art and history. It was a great experience that allowed me to become absolutely fluent in English.
I have had two years of intensive training as a professional guide. I’m accredited as a guide in all major museums of St. Petersburg and its suburbs. I have had twenty years of experience working as tour coordinator and guide, which means that my knowledge of the history and drama of the sites that I visit is very extensive indeed.
My clients have been politicians, actors, and members of various Royal families including the Romanovs, as well as students and pilgrimage groups.
I love to take my clients off the beaten track and help them experience the atmosphere of the city. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge of the history and art, and will make sure your stay is very special. I always plan my tours around your interests and your timetable. I will share as much or as little as you’d like to hear, about history and monuments, and also about all aspects of life of St. Petersburg today. For example, we can explore the best shops, restaurants, bars and theaters, and discuss current events, as well.
